Your contribution directly powers our local effort to connect with voters across Saanich. Under B.C.’s Local Elections Campaign Financing Act, all political donations are subject to provincial regulation administered by Elections BC.

Campaign Contribution Rules & Eligibility
By making a contribution, you confirm that you meet all of the following requirements:
Who Can Donate:
You must be an individual who is a resident of British Columbia.
You must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
Prohibited Donors:
Corporations, trade unions, businesses, and organizations are strictly prohibited from making campaign contributions.
Individuals living outside of B.C. may not contribute.
Indirect contributions (donating funds on behalf of another person or receiving reimbursement for a donation) are illegal.
Annual Contribution Limit:
The maximum contribution limit per individual to an independent candidate in 2026 is $1,429.70.
If donating to an elector organization (local party) or its endorsed candidates, your total combined contributions cannot exceed $1,429.70.
Public Disclosure & Transparency:
Campaign financing laws require us to collect the full name and residential address of any contributor who donates $100 or more in total.
Contributor details for donations of $100 or more will be included in post-election public financial disclosure filings submitted to Elections BC.
Anonymous donations under $50 are permitted, but anonymous contributions over $50 cannot be accepted.
